Two-time letterwinner was a member of North Central Conference championship team in 1971 and 1972...1972 team captain and team MVP...Two-time all-conference pick was an All-American in 1972 when he finished second at NCAA Division II tournament when he carded 72-72-78-71 for a 301 which was one stroke behind Jay Hillderbrand of Ashland's 300....Finished second in 1971 and third in 1972 at NCC tournament... Member of first MSU men's golf team to qualify for NCAA tournament in 1971 (tourney was held in Chico, Calif., and MSU finished 29th)...Forest City, Iowa native played at Waldorf CC for two years prior to enrolling in MSU.
