Robinson began his MSU career in 1963 and continued through 1982...He led the Maverick swimmers to 14 national swim meets and coached 38 All-Americans...In addition to serving as Chairman of the NCAA Swim Meet Committee for three years, he served on that committee for a total of six years...In 1972 he was selected "Master Coach of the Year" which is one of the top six awards given in the nation for one's contribution to local, regional, state, and national swimming organization...Was honored by the NCAA Swimming Committee when he was asked to present the Championship awards for the 1978 Division II NCAA Swim Meet in Springfield, Mass.
