Accumulated a record of 211-181 in her 12 years with the Mavericks and her 211 victories stands as the most-ever by a MSU volleyball coach...Named the North Central Conference Coach of the Year in 1989, led the Mavericks to five 20-win seasons...MSU made its first-ever NCAA Division II postseason appearance in 1990 under Burkett's guidance...1996 team established school record for wins in a season when they went 26-12...Had 14 All-NCC players during her tenure...NCC Honor Award (NCC Hall of Fame) recipient in 2005...Retired from coaching in 1997 to take a position within MSU's physical education department, has since retired and owns a ranch in Colorado.
