Began his Maverick athletic career in 1940, but due to his first stint in the army, did not complete his career until 1948...A member of the basketball team that captured the conference championship in 1947 and 1948...Competed in National Intercollegiate (now NAIA) Basketball Tournament in ’47 and’48 finishing second in 1947...Outside of athletics, Hodapp was senior class president, a member of the “M” Club, and worked on the school newspaper the Reporter...Graduated from MSU in 1948 and went on to earn a Master’s Degree from New Mexico in 1950 and a Doctorate from Indiana University in 1957...Served as MSU’s men’s athletic director from 1964 to 1967 when he resigned to become a full-time professor of Physical Education... He died in 1978.
