Two-year letterwinner was on first two MSU wrestling teams...Went undefeated in dual meets in his two-year career...Named team captain of the first team and became the first national placewinner for MSU when he finished fourth in earning All-American honors in 1951...Qualified for 1952 Olympic final team trials...Football letterwinner in 1950...Initiated and coached high school football program in Excelsior, Minn., served as a high school wrestling official from 1956-67 and was invited to serve as an official at the state high school tournament on five occasions.
