Coached basketball, baseball and tennis at MSU...Was Maverick basketball coach for 12 years...Currently ranks as the fifth winningest coach in MSU basketball history with his 134-112 (.545) won-loss record...His 1960-61 team won the Northern Intercollegiate championship with a 20-5 record...Championships followed Bill in the coaching ranks in other sports...He coached MSU baseball for 4 years with one conference title...Received his Bachelor's Degree from Nebraska State College in 1936 and earned his Master's Degree from the University of Michigan in 1949...Was an Assistant Professor of Physical Education at MSU...Authored publications in the sports and health fields.
