Degree in Social Studies from Huron College in 1927...Earned a Master's Degree from the University of Iowa in 1936...Earned a Ed. D Degree in Secondary Education from Stanford University in 1947...Taught in Blue Earth County Rural Schools in Miller, S.D...Served as principal at Benson High School and Denfield High School before becoming Director of Student Personnel Services at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
