MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State women's hockey's weekend series with Syracuse has been cancelled due to COVID-19 related issues within the Syracuse hockey program.
The decision to cancel the series is consistent with NCAA COVID-19 protocols. The series opener was slated to begin on Friday, Jan. 7 at 3:01 p.m. CST at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in downtown Mankato.
The Mavericks resume their season next weekend when they take on the No. 5-rated Minnesota in a home-and-home WCHA series. Game one of the series features a 6:01 p.m. face-off Friday, Jan. 14 in Mankato before the series heads to Minneapolis for the finale on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 4:01 p.m.
