MANKATO, Minn. — Minnesota State incoming freshman
Mia Miller competed at the USA Hockey U19 Training Camp this past week in Oxford, Ohio.
Miller, a native of Dundas, Minn., was one of 38 players from the 2007 and 2008 birth years selected to attend the camp, which featured 20 forwards, 14 defensemen and four goaltenders.
The U19 Training Camp serves as an evaluation and development opportunity for USA Hockey. Players are selected based on national scouting of in-season competition.
This past winter, Miller represented Team USA at the IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championship in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, where she helped the United States capture a gold medal with a 2-0 victory over Canada in the championship game.
"It was a super fun week at the U19 USA Hockey Training Camp," said Miller. "I had an amazing experience playing alongside some of the top players in the country at my age group and learning from an outstanding coaching staff. I'm looking forward to being back in Mankato and wrapping up our summer training session before we kickoff the upcoming season."
