Last Time on the Ice: The Mavericks (3-22-1, 1-17-0-0 Western Collegiate Hockey Association) were swept by No. 7 Minnesota in a two-game WCHA series on Friday and Saturday at Ridder Arena. The Mavericks lost the first game 4-2 and the second game 2-0.
Multi-Goal Game: Freshman forward
Tristen Truax (3-0--3) scored both Minnesota State goals against No. 7 Minnesota on Friday. The game was the first multi-goal performance of Truax's collegiate career. Truax is the third Maverick to score multiple goals in a game this season – joining junior forward
Jordan McLaughlin (6-6--12) and senior forward
Amanda Conway (4-2--6). McLaughlin and Conway scored two goals each at Lindenwood on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30, respectively.
Between the Pipes: Sophomore goaltender
Chloe Crosby ranked second in the WCHA with 61 saves last week and she recorded her season high in saves with 36 at No. 7 Minnesota on Saturday. In addition, she garnered a .924 save percentage and 2.51 goals against average in the two-game WCHA series at Minnesota.
All-Time Maverick: Senior defenseman
Anna Keys (0-4--4) moved into sole possession of third place in program history for points by a defenseman with 34 (8-26--34) when she tallied an assist at St. Cloud State on Jan. 6.
Reaching 50: Senior forward
Hannah Davidson (4-3--7) became the 18th student-athlete in program history to reach the 50-point plateau when she scored against Lindenwood on Dec. 9. Davidson leads all active Mavericks in career goals (22), assists (29) and points (51).
Phenomenal Freshman: Freshman center
Brittyn Fleming (4-11--15) is the Mavericks' team leader in both assists (11) and points (15). Fleming is the team leader in power-play points with four in 2017-18. Fleming's 15 points this season has surpassed last season's team-high point total of 14, which was achieved by junior forward
Emily Antony. In addition, Fleming also leads the team in shots on goal (65).
Mighty McLaughlin: Junior forward
Jordan McLaughlin's (6-6--12) six goals, six assists and 12 points this season are all career bests. She leads the team in goals scored and game-winning goals (2). McLaughlin is a two-way player — leading all Minnesota State forwards in blocked shots (32).
Scoring from the Point: Sophomore
Jordan Jackson (3-4--7) leads Minnesota State defensemen in goals (3), assists (4) and points (7). Jackson leads the team in power-play goals with two.
Balanced Attack: Sixteen different Mavericks have scored a goal this season, including 11 who have scored at least two goals. Junior forward

Clogging the Shooting Lanes: The Mavericks lead the WCHA and are seventh in the nation with 411 blocked shots. The Mavericks' 15.81 blocked shots per game are the fourth most in NCAA DI. Senior defensemen

Emma Wittchow are 11th and 12th in the nation with 59 and 54 blocked shots, respectively.
Minnesota State's season high for blocked shots is 33, which was achieved against then-No. 9 ranked Robert Morris on Oct. 7. The 33 blocked shots is the highest total by the Mavericks since they recorded 34 blocked shots at Wisconsin on Feb. 26, 2016.
Scouting Bemidji State: The Beavers (12-13-3, 7-9-2-1 WCHA), who are 1-2-1 in their last four contests, are coming off a two-game series at home against No. 1 Wisconsin. Bemidji State lost the series opener 4-3 in overtime on Friday and tied the second game 3-3 on Saturday. The Beavers lost in the shootout.
The Beavers, who average 2.64 goals per game, are led in points by
Haley Mack (9-12--21).
Earlier this season, Minnesota State was swept in a two-game series at Bemidji State on Dec. 15-16 at Sanford Center. The Mavericks lost the series opener 4-2 and the series finale 5-0.
