All-Time Maverick: Senior defenseman
Anna Keys (0-4--4) moved into sole possession of third place in program history for points by a defenseman with 34 (8-26--34) when she tallied an assist at St. Cloud State on Jan. 6.
Reaching 50: Senior forward
Hannah Davidson (4-2--6) recorded her 50th career point with a goal against Lindenwood on Dec. 9. She leads all current Mavericks in career goals (22), assists (28) and points (50). Davidson is the 18th Maverick to reach the 50-point plateau.
Phenomenal Freshman: Freshman center
Brittyn Fleming (4-11--15) is the Mavericks' team leader in both assists (11) and points (15). Fleming is the team leader in power-play points with four in 2017-18. Fleming's 15 points this season has surpassed last season's team-high point total of 14, which was achieved by junior forward
Emily Antony.
Mighty McLaughlin: Junior forward
Jordan McLaughlin's (6-6--12) six goals, six assists and 12 points this season are all career bests. She leads the team in goals scored and game-winning goals (2) in 2017-18.
Scoring from the Point: Sophomore
Jordan Jackson (3-4--7) leads Minnesota State defensemen in goals (3), assists (4) and points (7). Jackson leads the team in power-play goals with two.
Balanced Attack: Sixteen different Mavericks have scored a goal this season, including 10 who have scored at least two goals. Junior forward
Jordan McLaughlin (6-6--12) leads the team with six goals, while senior forwards
Amanda Conway (4-2--6) and
Hannah Davidson (4-2--6), and freshman forward
Brittyn Fleming (4-11--15) are tied for second with four goals each.
Clogging the Shooting Lanes: The Mavericks lead the WCHA and are seventh in the nation with 381 blocked shots. Senior defenseman
Anna Keys is eighth in the nation with 57 blocked shots in 2017-18. Minnesota State's season high for blocked shots is 33, which was achieved against then-No. 9 ranked Robert Morris on Oct. 7. The 33 blocked shots is the highest total by the Mavericks since they recorded 34 blocked shots at Wisconsin on Feb. 26, 2016.
Scouting Minnesota: The No. 7-ranked Gophers (17-8-2, 10-6-2-0 WCHA) was swept by No. 5 Ohio State in a two-game WCHA series in Columbus, Ohio last weekend. The Gophers lost 3-2 on Friday and 5-1 on Saturday.
The Gophers, which average 3.26 goals per game, are led in points by
Grace Zumwinkle (12-16--28).

Sidney Peters (10-6-1) and
Alex Gulstene (7-2-1) have split time.
Earlier this season, Minnesota State was swept in a two-game series with Minnesota on Nov. 3-4 at Verizon Center. The Mavericks dropped the series opener 6-1 and the series finale 5-2.
