Minneapolis, Minn. --- #15 Minnesota State ran its winning streak to three games with today's nonconference sweep over Colorado Christian in the Metrodome.

The Mavericks, who claimed 9-0 and 6-2 wins over the Cougars, now stand 5-1 on the season.

MSU jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first two innings in today's first game and never looked back. Junior outfielder Lucas Skjefte went three-for-four with three doubles and two runs scored. Senior third baseman Pat Dockendorf was three-for-three with a double, a triple and three runs batted in. Sophomore Bryce Bellin limited CC to two hits in five innings of work while fanning nine with no walks. Senior Nick Sutherland closed out the game with two scoreless innings of relief.

A quick start in the second game, in which the Mavericks led 5-0 after two innings of action, again proved to be the key. Senior outfielder Ben Kincaid was two-for-four, junior designated hitter John Flattery was two-for-three and sophomore catcher Nolan Johnson was two-for-three with an RBI. Senior Harvey Martin, who started and went the first five innings, gave up a pair of unearned runs while giving up two hits and two walks to earn his second win of the season. Sophomore righthanders Jordan Krause and Mathias Butala both tossed an inning of scoreless relief.
