LEXINGTON, Ky. --- The Minnesota State volleyball team has earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for its efforts in the classroom during 2025-26 academic season.

The award, which began in the 1992-93 season, honors volleyball teams that maintain at least a 3.30 GPA or higher.

This marks the 19th time in team history, and 16th consecutive season, that the Mavericks have received the award. As a team, MSU boasted a 3.827 GPA for the 2025-26 season and has extended its streak to 30 straight terms with at least a 3.40 GPA.

Minnesota State opens its 2026 schedule at the Ferris State Invitational on August 27-29 in Big Rapids, Mich. The Mavericks open the invitational on Aug. 27 with a 2:00 p.m. match against Emporia State.
