FARGO, N.D. --- Minnesota State senior outfielder
Cole Yearsley has inked a professional contract with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks of the American Association.
Yearsley joined the Mavericks this season and played in 54 games, starting 50. He finished second on the team in batting average with a .352 average, the second-highest average on the team. His 16 home runs were tied for the team lead and of his 62 hits, 43.5% went for extra base hits.
He pounded out a season-high four hits in MSU's win over Minot State (3/14) and drove in a season-high five RBI against Northern State.
For his efforts this season, Yearsley was a
Second-Team All-Central Region selection by D2CCA. He was also a
First-Team All-NSIC selection and a
CSC Academic All-District pick this past year.
Yearsley joins former Maverick
Aidan Byrne on the Fargo-Moorhead roster.
