GREENWOOD, Ind. --- Minnesota State's
Brandon Vlcko has been named to the CSC Academic All-American Third Team for his efforts on the field and in the classroom this past season.
A senior catcher from Cedar Rapids, Iowa Vlcko played in 48 games, while making 47 starts for the Mavericks this past season. He batted .298 with 45 hits, including 10 doubles and 10 home runs. Vlcko also tallied 37 runs batted in and scored 36 runs. Earlier this season, Vlcko was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence as he boated a 3.91 GPA, while majoring in psychology.
Vlcko is the eighth Maverick baseball player to earn CSC Academic All-American honors. Last season, both Aiden Byrne and
Nathan Culley were named CSC Academic All-Americans.
Minnesota State finished its 2026 season with a 40-16 record as it advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
