MANKATO, Minn. --- A total of four Minnesota State baseball players have been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for their efforts on the field and in the classroom this past season.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore athletically and academically. They also have to have at least a 3.50 GPA. Eligible nominees must also compete in at least 90% of the team's games or start in at least 66% of the team's games. Pitchers must have at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings. The Academic All-American Teams will be announced on June 23.
A junior from Green Bay, Wis.,
Mack Crowley made 12 starts for the Mavericks on the mound this past season. Crowley put together a 7-1 record as he boasted a 2.58 ERA in 73.1 innings pitched. Crowley also struck out 54 batters and held opposing hitters to a .230 batting average. Crowley is majoring in management and owns a 3.66 GPA.
A sophomore from Oak Creek, Wis.,
CJ Trask appeared in 54 games for the Mavericks, including 52 starts, primarily in the outfield. Trask batted .345 on the season as he posted a team-leading 15 doubles to go along with 63 RBI and 49 runs scored. He also went 8-for-8 in stolen base attempts. Trask is majoring in machinal engineering and owns a 3.76 GPA.
A senior from Cedar Rapids, Iowa,
Brandon Vlcko played in 48 games for the Mavericks this season, including 47 starts, primarily at catcher. He batted .298 with 10 doubles, 10 home runs and 37 RBI. He also scored 36 runs and coaxed 30 walks. Vlcko Is majoring in psychology and owns a 3.91 GPA.
A senior from Yorkville, Ill.,
Cole Yearsley played in 54 games for the Mavericks, including 50 starts, primarily in the outfield. Yearsley finished the season tied for the team lead in home runs (16) and RBI (65). He also ranked second on the team in runs scored with 57 as he batted .352 on the season. Yearsley is majoring in applied leadership and owns a 3.58 GPA.
Minnesota State finished its 2026 season with a 40-16 record as the Mavericks advanced to the NCA Tournament.
