MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State's
Louis Magers,
Jake Berkland and
Cole Yearsley have earned D2CCA All-Central Region honors for their efforts on the field this past season.
Magers was named to the D2CCA All-Central Region First Team, while Berkland and Yearsley were named to the D2CCA All-Central Region Second Team. Magers will now advance on to the D2CCA All-American ballot.
A senior from Mankato, Minn.,
Louis Magers played and started in all 56 games for the Mavericks this season, splitting time as a first baseman, designated hitter and pitcher. Magers batted .286 on the season as he tied for the team lead in home runs (16) and RBI (65). He also scored 49 runs and coaxed 34 walks. Earlier this season, Magers was named to the All-NSIC First Team and the NWBCA All-Central Region First Team.
A sophomore from Wayzata, Minn.,
Jake Berkland played and started in all 56 games for the Mavericks this season, primarily at shortstop. He finished with a team-leading .366 batting average and set a team record in runs scored with 82. He also recorded a team-leading 74 hits, including 11 doubles, three triples and 11 home runs. Earlier this season, Berkland was named to the All-NSIC First Team and the NWBCA All-Central Region Second Team.
A senior from Yorkville, Ill.,
Cole Yearsley played in 54 games, including 50 starts, primarily in the outfield for the Mavericks. Yearsley tied for the team lead in home runs (16) and RBI (65) as he batted .352. He also ranked second on the team in runs scored with 57 and third on the team in hits with 62. Earlier this season, Yearsley was named to the All-NSIC First Team and the NWBCA All-Central Region Second Team.
Minnesota State finished its 2026 season with a 40-16 record.
