MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota State baseball team (31-10, 23-5 NSIC) is ranked No. 16 in this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll.
This marks the first time this season the Mavericks have appeared in the NCBWA rankings. MSU is coming off a series split with Winona State, falling 7–6 in 10 innings in game one before bouncing back with an 11–8 win in seven innings in game two.
The Mavericks return to action this weekend as they host Northern State for a three-game series. First pitch is set for Friday, April 24 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Saturday with games scheduled for noon and 2:00 p.m.
