# 15 Mavericks Set for Road Series at St. Cloud State

MANKATO, Minn. – No. 15 Minnesota State (12-14-2, 8-6-2 WCHA) heads to St. Cloud, Minn., this weekend for a WCHA road series against St. Cloud State (8-18-2, 4-16-2 WCHA) at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

Friday's puck drop is set for 6 p.m., with Saturday's finale scheduled for 2 p.m. Both games will be streamed on B1G+.

Scouting St. Cloud State

The Huskies enter the weekend with a 4-16-2 conference record and currently sit seventh in the WCHA standings while receiving votes in the national rankings. St. Cloud State is coming off a road series at St. Thomas, where the Tommies swept the Huskies by scores of 3-2 in both games, including an overtime loss on Friday.
Junior Sofianna Sundelin leads St. Cloud State offensively with 21 points on 13 goals and eight assists. In goal, graduate sophomore Emilia Kyrkko anchors the Huskies with a 2.02 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage.

Recap vs. Bemidji State

Minnesota State opened last weekend with a 3-0 victory on Friday. Taylor Otremba scored the game's first goal at 5:46 of the first period, assisted by Ayla Puppe and Ava Guillemette. The Mavericks added two third-period goals from Lauren Zawoyski and Mercury Bischoff, while the defense held Bemidji State scoreless in all three periods.

On Saturday, the Mavericks fell 2-1. Otremba again opened the scoring in the first period, but Bemidji State answered later in the frame and scored the game-winning goal midway through the third. Minnesota State pushed late with an extra attacker but could not find the equalizer.

Series History

Minnesota State holds a 44-55-14 all-time record against St. Cloud State. The teams last met in December at the Mayo Clinic HSEC, where the Huskies earned a 4-0 win in game one before the Mavericks responded with a 3-2 overtime victory in game two.
