Magers, Culley Earn D2CCA All-America

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Junior pitcher/first baseman/designated hitter Louis Magers was named D2CCA First Team All-America and senior pitcher Nathan Culley was named D2CCA Third Team All-America for Minnesota State baseball this season. Both were previously selected NCBWA All-America on May 23.
 
Culley and Magers helped the Mavericks tie the single season record for team wins as MSU finished 51-8 overall and won NSIC regular season and tournament titles. The Mavericks advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 43rd time in program history. 
 
Magers also earned First Team NCBWA All-Region honors. He finished the season with 20 home runs (passed Jordan Hart, 19, for first on MSU all-time single season chart). Magers batted .319 with 68 hits, 14 doubles, one triple and 82 runs batted in. He made 10 starts on the mound and held a 2.72 earned run average with 35 strikeouts and 23 walks over 43.0 innings.
 
Culley went 12-1 with a 2.52 earned run average as a starting pitcher. He also recorded four complete games and two shutouts. He led the team with 98 strikeouts and walked 27. He worked 7.0 innings in the NCAA Central Region Tournament against Arkansas Monticello on May 15 and allowed three earned runs while striking out eight. Culley earned ABCA All-Central Region Second Team in 2022 and 2023. He took in First Team NCBWA All-Region honors this spring.
 
Including Culley and Magers, 25 Minnesota State baseball players have earned All-America honors. The last was shortstop Aidan Byrne in 2024 (CSC Third Team).
