MANKATO, Minn.--- Minnesota State (11-10, 7-4 NSIC) will move its weekend series against Minnesota Duluth (8-13, 4-8 NSIC) south due to inclement weather. The Mavericks will play doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday in Fayette, Iowa at Robertson Woods Field. Friday's action is set for 1:30 p.m. while Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled to start at noon.
Last Time on the Diamond
MSU traveled to Sioux City, Iowa, and Wakefield, Nebraska to take on St. Cloud State in a three-game series, going 2-1 on the series. The Mavericks' offense responded in key situations as the Mavericks scored seven runs on only 14 hits.
Junior
Zach Stroh highlighted the Mavericks offense going 4-8 at the plate while recording a run and two RBI agianst SCSU pitching. Stroh registered his second home run on the season in Friday's 3-2 win walking off the Huskies in the bottom of the ninth.
The Maverick outfielder recorded a team-high eight total bases on the series, finishing with a 1.000 slugging percentage and .556 OBP.
Supporting cast junior
Aidan Byrne and sophomore
Louis Magers combined for six hits against SCSU pitching while scoring five runs and driving home two. Byrne finished the weekend with a .400 batting average.
The Maverick pitching staff mitigated SCSU momentum throughout the series resulting in 26 Huskies left on base compared to MSU's 15. Through three games, SCSU batted a .175 average agianst MSU pitchers.

Taisei Yahiro, junior
Spencer Wright, and sophomore
Louis Magers combined for 16 innings of dominant pitching on the mound. The trio allowed only three runs on nine hits while striking out 10 Huskies.
Taking on UMD
Minnesota Duluth has struggled in NSIC play this season compiling a 4-8 conference record while owning a 8-13 overall record. UMD is currently in 13th place in the NSIC standings.
Offensively, the Bulldogs are led by juniors
Jack Puder and
Kade Peloquin who have both reached the 20-RBI plateau this season. Puder currently sits ninth in the NSIC in the RBI department with 24 and eighth in home runs with eight.
UMD pitching staff is headlined by senior
Brayden Buttweiler who owns a 2-0 record and 4.94 ERA as a starter this season. Despite holding a higher ERA than most NSIC aces, Buttweiler has registered 24 strikeouts in 23.2 innings pitched while maintaining a .234 batting average agianst which is eighth best in the NSIC.
As a staff, UMD is ranked 11th in the NSIC in earned run average (8.04), eighth in batting average against (.289), and fourth in walks allowed (105).
