VERMILLION, S.D. --- The Minnesota State women's swimming and diving team won three events in its dual Friday evening against the University of South Dakota.
The Coyotes won the dual by the score of 198-100. MSU owns a 0-1 dual record on the season.
Junior
Darah Coleman won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:157.57, while senior
Emily Goodman took third place with a time of 1:15.88. Goodman also took second place in the 200 IM with a time of 2:32.03.
Senior
Anja Enervold won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:23.15 to go along with a second place finish the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:06.79.
Goodman finished first in the 200 breaststroke also with a time of 2:43.93. Senior
Kailyn Arps followed in second place with a time of 2:49.35 also.
Freshman
Sydney Hanson paced the Mavericks in the 1-meter diving event with a score 212.85 which ranked second. Hanson also paced the Mavericks in the 3-meter diving event with a fourth place finish as she recorded 218.25 points.
In the 200 medley relay the team of Enervold, Goodman, junior
Kayla Rinderknecht and senior
Kate Flynn finished in second place with a time of 2:02.50. The quartet of Mayer, Enervold and freshmen
Maija Carriveau and
Kendall Gonzalez took second in the 200 freestyle relay also with a time of 1:52.72.
Minnesota State continues is season on Friday, October 15, as it hosts Southwest Minnesota State. The dual is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
