Biography
2022-23: Claimed All-NSIC honors as she finished second in the 200 breaststroke (2:21.75) and second in the 400 medley relay (3:47.23) at the NSIC Championships…Finished fifth in the 400 IM (4:34.05) and sixth in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.30) at the NSIC Championships.
2021-22: Claimed All-NSIC honors in the 200 breaststroke event at the NSIC Championships as she finished third with a time of 2:20.28…Took seventh in the 100 breaststroke at the NSIC Championships with a time of 1:04.58…Finished fourth in both the 200 IM (2:08.77) and the 400 IM (4:34.37) events at the NSIC Championships…Posted a personal best time of 2:19.82 in the 200 breaststroke event at the Augustana Invitational.
2020-21: Claimed All-NSIC honors as she finished second in the 400 IM (4:32.99) and second in the 200 breaststroke (2:20.43) at the NSIC Championships…Finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.04) and fifth in the 200 IM (2:08.53) at the NSIC Championships.
2019-20: Took eighth place in the 400 IM at the NSIC Championships with a time of 4:44.40…Took second place in the 200 breaststroke at the Rochester Invite with a time of 2:25.19.
2018-19: Recorded a time of 1:06.08 in the prelims of the 100 breaststroke at the NSIC Championships…Finished sixth in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:22.14 at the NSIC Championships…Took ninth place in the 200 IM at the NSIC Championships with a time of 2:09.23.
High School: A four-year letterwinner from West Bend, Wis., Kailyn Arps competed with both the West Bend West High School and West Bend Swim Club teams...At West Bend West, Arps qualified for the state meet four times and was a conference champion in multiple events...She won a section championship in the 100 breaststroke and received an All-American Honorable Mention as a member of the 200 medley relay team that finished sixth at the state meet...She is also a school record holder as a member of the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams...As a member of the West Bend Swim Club team, Arps qualified for the state meet six times and holds 15 club records.
Personal: Kailyn is the daughter of Dan and Melissa Arps...Born May 21, 2000...Majoring in civil engineering.
