Biography
2021-22: Earned two All-NSIC honors at the NSIC Championships, including a first place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:41.45) and a second place finish in the 200 IM (2:06.35)…Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence and received the NSIC Myles Brand Academic Award…Named the NSIC Swimmer of the Week…Posted fourth place finishes in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events at the NSIC Championships with times of 1:03.55 and 2:20.88, respectively…Finished 23rd in the 100 breaststroke at the NCAA Championships with a time of 1:03.62 and 25th in the 200 breaststroke event with a time of 2:20.91…Also competed in the 400 freestyle relay event at the NCAA Championships.
2020-21: Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team/Team of Excellence…Was a member of the 200 medley relay team that finished first at the NSIC Championships (1:43.78)…Also garnered All-NSIC honors in three individual events at the NSIC Championships including the 200 IM (2nd/2:07.37), 100 breaststroke (2nd/1:04.38) and 200 breaststroke (3rd/2:21.31)…Was a member of the 400 medley relay team that claimed All-NSIC honors with a second place finish at the NSIC Championships (3:50.87)…Finished fourth in the 400 IM at the NSIC Championships with a time of 4:36.42.
2019-20: Claimed All-NSIC honors as a member of the 400 medley relay team that finished second at the NSIC Championships with a time of 3:53.08…Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team/Team of Excellence…Took fourth place in the both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events at the NSIC Championships with time of 1:05.04 and 2:23.37, respectively…Finished first in both the 100 and 300 breaststroke events at the UW-Stevens Point Invite…Won the 200 breaststroke event at the Rochester Invite with a time of 2:23.41.
2018-19: Placed seventh in the 100 breaststroke at the NSIC Championships with a time of 1:05.61…Finished in 10th place in the 200 breaststroke at the NSIC Championships with a time of 2:24.78…Also claimed 11th place in the 200 IM at the NSIC Championships with a time of 2:09.31.
High School: A four-time state qualifier from Bettendorf, Iowa, Emily Goodman served as a team captain at Pleasant Valley High School in 2017...At the Iowa High School State Meet, Goodman earned two All-State First Team honors in the 100 breaststroke and three All-State First Team honors in the 500 freestyle...She also qualified for the NCSA and Future Swimming Championships.
Personal: Emily is the daughter of Sean and Anne Goodman...Born November 21, 1999...Majoring in public health.
