In the first game, the first period went scoreless as the Mavericks scored once in the second period and twice in the third to win 3-0. At the 11:45 mark in the third period, senior captain Emily Antony received the puck below the red line on the right side of the net and took a shot from an awkward angle that banged off the Lions' netminder and into the net. Freshman winger Kennedy Bobyck scored the final goal less than two minutes later, going top shelf from just inside the left face-off circle.

In game two, Fleming scored the opening goal for the second straight day on a power play from inside the right face-off circle at the 6:06 mark in the second period. The Lions evened up the score less than 30 seconds later with junior forward Sierra Burt putting away a rebound off the netminder's pads. Minnesota State re-took the lead at the 17:44 mark with Wilgren going top shelf from the middle of the ice, skimming the bar on the way into the net. The score read 3-1 heading into the second intermission with senior blueliner McKenzie Sederberg scoring from the point and over the leg pad of the Lions' goaltender with just a minute remaining in the period. Antony scored her second goal of the weekend at the 16:40 mark in the third period as freshman winger Kelsey King fed Antony from behind the net to the middle of the ice as Antony went glove side on the goaltender. Lindenwood scored the last goal of the game on a power play with senior forward Cierra Paisley lighting the lamp.
