Mankato, Minn. ---Â The Minnesota State women's hockey will return home to face the Bemidji State Beavers at Mankato Civic Center. Games will be played on Friday and Saturday, beginning at 2:07 p.m., both days.

Minnesota State All-Time: The MSU women's hockey program, which started in 1998-99, is currently in its 22nd season of competition and has compiled a 189-489-66 (.298) record in 744 total games played. The Mavericks are in their 21st year as members in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and hold a 116-389-53 (.255) record in 558 games played.
Last Time on the Ice: Minnesota State (6-6-2, 2-6-2-2 WCHA) was swept by #2 Wisconsin last weekend by the scores of 3-2 and 6-1 in Madison, Wis.Â
In game one, The Badgers scored first at the 16:20 mark in the first period as junior winger
Daryl Watts chipped a loose puck outside the crease over the shoulder of the Maverick netminder. The Badgers scored twice in the second period 27 seconds into the period and at the 6:17 mark. Sophomore forward
Sophie Shirley scored right in front of the net and senior winger
Abby Roque from the right face-off circle to the low left corner of the net. MSU's first goal came with a man advantage at the 5:12 mark in the third period as junior blueliner
Tristen Truax scored her fourth goal of the season on the back side of the net. The second goal came at the 13:17 mark as senior captain
Emily Antony scored her second goal of the season by grabbing a rebound and scoring inside the left post.
In game two, the Badgers scored at the 16:45 minute mark of the first period when Shirley scored on the power play on the back side on the net. Roque scored for Wisconsin at the 10:15 mark of the second period on a backhanded shot from inside the right face-off circle. Junior winger
Brette Pettet went top shelf on another Badger power play goal six minutes later. The Badgers scored three goals in the first six minutes of the third period to take a 6-0 lead off multiple Maverick turnovers deep defensive zone. Roque scored her second goal of the game, while senior forward
Alexis Mauermann and Watts scored the other two goals. Junior forward
Brittyn Fleming scored the Mavericks goal as she went five-hole against the Badger netminder in the slot for her third goal of the season.
In net, sophomore
Abigail Levy (3-3-1) made the start in game one, making 32 saves in the loss and also had four saves in 15 minutes of game two. Freshman
Calla Frank (3-3-1) made the start in game two, collecting 22 saves.
Defenseman Points: Anna Wilgren currently has nine points on the season with three goals and six assists. With her last assist against Wisconsin, Wilgren now has 21 points for her career, which is tied for 10th most all-time by MSU blueliners. Her four career game winning goals are also tied for the eighth most all-time at MSU.Â
New Horns: Minnesota State will welcome five freshman to the 2020-21 roster next season including four forwards and one defenseman. The five freshmen are: defenseman

Madison Mashuga and
Jamie Nelson.
Scouting Bemidji State: The Beavers (3-8-1, 2-6-0-0 WCHA) were most recently swept by #1 Minnesota by the scores of 7-1 and 3-0 last weekend.Â
The Beavers' offense is led by senior forward
Haley Mack, who leads the team with seven goals and nine points, while adding two assists. Junior forward
Clair DeGeorge has six points on the season on a goal and five assists.
In net, Bemidji State features junior
Lauren Bench (2-6-0) who has started eight of the 12 games. She has a 3.29 GAA, .891 save percentage and 205 saves on the season.
Facing Bemidji State: The Mavericks have an all-time record of 30-43-13 against the Beavers. In the most recent match-up last season, BSU took game one in Mankato 5-2 before the two teams tied 3-3 in game to with MSU winning the shootout.

Looking Ahead: Minnesota State travel to Burlington, Vt., to take part in the Windjammer Classic being hosted by Vermont. The Mavericks will face #5 Clarkson first at 1:00 p.m. ET on Nov. 29 and then will either play Penn State or Vermont on Nov. 30.
