Mankato, Minn. --- Minnesota State women's hockey will travel to St. Cloud, Minn. to play the Huskies in the National Hockey Center. Games will be played on Friday and Saturday with the puck being dropped at 3:07 p.m., and 2:07 p.m., respectively.

Minnesota State All-Time: The MSU women's hockey program, which started in 1998-99, is currently in its 22nd season of competition and has compiled a 187-487-66 (.297) record in 740 total games played. The Mavericks are in their 21st year as members in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and hold a 114-387-53 (.254) record in 554 games played.
Last Time on the Ice: Minnesota State (2-4-2, 0-4-2-2 WCHA) played to two ties against No. 9 Ohio State this past weekend at Mankato Civic Center. In the 1-1 and 3-3 ties, the Mavericks collected the extra conference point in both games.

Kelsey King stole the puck at mid-ice, drove down the right side and went five-hole for the goal.
In game two, the Buckeyes lit the lamp first as junior winger
Tatum Skaggs was the beneficiary of a two-on-one break with junior linemate
Emma Maltais at the 17:23 mark. The Mavericks evened the score at the 12:31 with a man advantage as senior winger
Sofia Poinar poked in the loose puck in the crease for the goal. The Mavericks took the 2-1 lead at the 5:16 mark in the second period when Bryant went top shelf from the right face-off circle. MSU extended its lead to two goals as junior blueliner
Tristen Truax scored on a breakaway. Ohio State cut into the lead at the 18:18 mark as senior blueliner
Jincy Dunne scored in the low right corner. Dunne scored her second goal of the game in the third period to tie the game up. The shootout went four rounds as King came up big again, tying the shootout 1-1 after the first round and then senior forward
Emily Antony scored the shootout winner.
In net, sophomore
Abigail Levy (1-2-1) made the start in game one, making 34 saves and allowing one goal. Freshman
Calla Frank (1-2-1) made a career high 39 saves in game two, while allowing three goals.
WCHA Rookie of the Week: Calla Frank was named
WCHA Rookie of the Week after making a career high 39 saves, including 21 in the third period, to preserve the 3-3 tie against OSU. Franks also made three of four stops in the shootout to help gain the extra conference point. Frank made the second most saves among NCAA freshman goaltenders in the NCAA.
Scouting St. Cloud State: The Huskies (2-4-0, 0-4-0 WCHA) most recently were swept by No. 2 Minnesota. SCSU dropped both games 3-0 and 4-2.
The Huskies' offense is led by senior defenseman
Abby Thiessen, who leads the team in goals with four. Freshman forward
Klara Hymlarova leads the team in points with five on one goal and four assists.
In net, St. Cloud State features duo senior
Janine Alder and junior
Emma Polusny who split time. Combined they have a 3.18 GAA, .899 save percentage, 169 saves and a shutout on the season.
Facing St. Cloud State: All-time, the Mavericks are 33-41-13 against the Huskies. In the pervious matchup last season, MSU was swept by SCSU by the scores of 3-1 and 4-1.

Looking Ahead: Minnesota State will host nonconference opponent Merrimack at Mankato Civic Center. Games will be on Nov. 1-2 with puck dropping at 2:07 p.m., both days.
