SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --- The Minnesota State women's swimming and diving team earned its fifth dual victory of the season Saturday afternoon as it defeated Sioux Falls 153-141 on the road.
With the win, MSU improves to 5-1 in dual action this season, while USF drops to 2-3.
The Mavericks earned the top finish in five events, three of which came courtesy of senior
Taylor Bass. Bass turned in first place finishes in the 100-yard butterfly (57.98), the 100-yard freestyle (53.01) and the 50-yard butterfly (26.14) events.
Freshman
Lily Borgenheimer won two events as well as she finished the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.66 and the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:13.51. Borgenheimer also placed second in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 31.78.

Chelsea Calhoon posted a time of 1:49.21 in the 200-yard medley relay, while the team of Bass, sophomore

Emelia Selky and Hake turned in a time of 1:40.81 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Hake also turned in a pair of second place finishes in the 50-yard backstroke (27.28) and the 100-yard backstroke (59.53). Calhoon and Selky also turned second place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.02) and the 1,000 yard freestyle (10:58.36), respectively.
Minnesota State continues its season on Friday as it takes part in the two-day UW-Stevens Point Invite in Stevens Point, Wis.
