Des Moines, Iowa --- Following a successful trip to the west coast, the Minnesota State men's track and field team set their attention to the Drake Relays going on this weekend.
Unfortunately for the Mavericks the 4x100-meter relay team could not defend its title from last year because they were disqualified during the race. Adding to the Mavericks misery was one of the favorites to win the 110-meter hurdles,

On a positive note
Michael Sandle broke his own school record in the triple jump with a mark of 52'8.25''. He not only won the event but this is also the top mark in division II and automatically qualifies him for nationals.
