Thursday's match will mark as the 61st all-time meeting between both teams as Minnesota State owns a 46-14 all-time record over the Warriors. However, WSU has the last laugh in the all-time series, as the Warriors swept (25-18, 25-23, 26-24) the Mavericks in Winona last season.

This season WSU stands with a 6-1 overall record and is coming off of four straight sweep wins last weekend at the Rockhusrt Classic in Kansas City, Mo. The Warriors defeated Pittsburg State, McKendree, Christian Brothers and Henderson State. In this weeks AVCA Coaches Poll, the Warriors are receiving 32 votes.

WSU is led by sophomore outside hitter Danielle Rampart who is coming off an impressive 2014 season where she not only earned 2014 All-NSIC first-team honors but also garnered AVCA Central Region Freshman of the Year honors.

So far through seven matches Rampart has collected 72 kills and 13 total blocks, with a .314 attack percentage and nine service aces. Sophomore outside hitter Taylor Goar has also posted 72 kills this season and leads the team with 12 service aces, which places her second in the NSIC in aces per set at 0.55.

Concerning Upper Iowa: The Peacocks currently stand at 6-3 on the season and recently beat Minot State and St. Cloud State last weekend at their Peacock Open. UIU's head coach is Aaron Nelson who is now in his fourth season at the helm.

Saturday's matchup will mark as the 17th all-time meeting between the two schools as MSU owns a 16-0 all-time record over the Peacocks. The Mavericks squared off with the Peacocks twice last season and MSU defeated UIU in both matches in four sets.
