What's On Tap: The Minnesota State women's hockey team will look to break a 10-game losing streak as they take to the road for the second consecutive weekend November 20th and 21st.
The 2-11-1 (0-10-0 WCHA) Mavericks and #6 Beavers, claiming a similar record of 10-4-2 (7-4-1 WCHA) will match up for the first time this season. Both games are scheduled for 2:07 p.m. start.
Last Time on the Ice: Last weekend, Minnesota State traveled to St. Cloud State, falling to the Huskies in both games by scores of 4-1 and 4-2.

In Saturday's game, St. Cloud State claimed an early lead as they scored three goals in the first frame compared to Minnesota State's one netter. Scouting at the Beavers: Bemidji State comes into the weekend the owner of an overall record of 10-4-2 and a 7-4-1 record in WCHA play. BSU sits in third place in the conference. The Beavers are coming off a weekend in which they were swept by Minnesota in St. Paul by scores of 4-0 and 8-3.
Bemidji State is led by head coach James Scanlan who is in his second season at the helm of the Beavers program. The Beavers have two player who are leading the team in points at 10 apiece. Alexis Joyce has tallied three goals and seven assists while Kailyn Tougas has scored one goal and provided helpers on nine others. An All-American last season, junior goaltender Brittni Mowat has played 15 games in goal owning a 10-4-1 record for BSU. She has recorded a 1.55 goals against average and a save percentage of .946

Minnesota State All-Time: The MSU women's hockey program - started in 1998-99 - is currently in its 18th season of competition and has compiled a 163-382-49 (.316) record in 594 total games played. The Mavericks are in their 17th year as members of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and hold an 83-288-39 (.25) mark in 410 league contests.
Underclassmen Distribution: MSU has now scored 21 goals through eight weeks of action in the 2015-16 season. Of those 21 markers, 17 have been tallied by underclassmen. Seven of which are first-career markers for Maverick freshman. Also, in the first 14 games of the season, Minnesota State generated 53 points (goals and assists). 40 of those points have been recorded by Maverick freshmen and sophomores.
