Freshman Hunter Harnisch (Lakeville, Minn.) collected his first RBI as a Maverick with a one-out single in the sixth, but Alderson Broaddus answered back with a run off a double steal in the bottom half of the inning.

In the seventh, the Mavericks added five more runs with RBI singles from Standish and Andries, a two-run base hit off the bat of Olson and a RBI double courtesy of freshman Eric Peterson (Eagan, Minn.). The Battlers notched a run of their own in the bottom half after a Maverick wild pitch to solidify the 15-2 final.
