Box Score WINTER HAVEN, Fla. --- Senior righthander Bryce Bellin tossed eight innings of one-run ball, but second-ranked Minnesota State was unable to muster any offense as the Mavericks dropped a 2-0 decision to Ohio Dominican at the Russ Matt Invitational Tuesday morning.

MSU now stands 10-3 overall, while the Panthers improve to 5-4 on the season.

After three scoreless innings, ODU pushed a run across in the top of the fourth courtesy of two seniors. Jossue Delgrado knocked a one-out single into centerfield and stole second base, before Anthony Raschilla tagged a RBI double to centerfield putting the Panthers in front, 1-0.

The Mavericks threatened in the bottom of the seventh placing a pair in scoring position after senior Stetson Olson (Renton, Wash.) singled to right field and junior Max Waletich (Fairmont, Minn.) doubled to deep centerfield. However, ODU senior righthander Sean Blackburn responded by recording a strikeout and inducing a groundout to quell the threat.

Ohio Dominican added an insurance run in the top of the ninth when Raschilla cranked his second two-bagger of the game to centerfield and was driven in with a two-out single to right by junior Phil Jaskot.

Bellin (0-1) suffered the hard luck loss after striking out six and allowing just five baserunners off four hits and a walk with an earned run over eight frames. Blackburn (2-0) went the distance for ODU scattering five hits and a hit batter while recording five punchouts for the complete-game win.

Olson led the way for MSU going two-of-three, while Rashcilla paced the Panthers with a two-for-four performance including two doubles, a RBI and run scored.

Minnesota State will challenge Saint Joseph's College tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. in its first of two remaining contests during its spring trip.
