MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State bounced back Friday evening at home as it defeated the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 167-129 at Highland Pool in Mankato.
The Mavericks combined to win 12 of the 16 events on the day.
Freshman
Chelsea Calhoon won a pair of events including the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:05.17 and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:23.78.
Freshman
Taylor Bass won two events as well as she took the top finish in the 100-yard freestyle (54.40) and the 200-yard IM (2:15.51).
Junior
Emilie Berg won two events of her own as she won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.19) and the 50-yard breaststroke (31.68).
Freshman
Cecilia Hake won a pair of events including the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 27.11 and the 100-yard backstroke with a mark of 59.96.
Senior
Tessa Cady won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:00.65, while senior
Emily Green won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.81.
The Mavericks also won two relay events.
The team of Bass, Berg, Hake and junior
Jade Ely won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:52.26, while the team of Green, Berg, Ely and sophomore
Nicole Bean won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a mark of 1:42.25.
MSU hits the road as it takes on takes on Northern Michigan in a two-day dual beginning on Friday, Oct. 24.
