EVANSVILLE, Ind. --- Minnesota State sophomores
Savannah Acker and
Averi Larsen each competed in an event on the opening day of the NCAA Championships.
In the prelims of the 200 IM, Acker finished in 34th place with a time of 2:05.74. In the prelims of the 50 freestyle event, Larsen finished in 23rd place with a time of 23.38 also. Neither Acker or Larsen will advance on to compete in the finals.
Minnesota State continues action in the NCAA Championships on Thursday as Acker competes in the 400 IM, while junior
Natalie Freeman competes in the 3-meter diving event. The swim prelims begin at 10:00 a.m., with the diving prelims set to follow at 1:00 p.m. The finals are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
