Box Score BEMIDJI, Minn. --- Three Beaver goals in the final two periods helped carry Bemidji State to a 4-1 victory over visiting Minnesota State in Western Collegiate Hockey Association action Friday afternoon at Sanford Center.

MSU slips to 3-8-0 overall and 0-7-0 in the WCHA, while the Beavers move to 5-6-2 on the year and 2-4-1-1 within the conference.

The contest was knotted at one a piece after 20 minutes of action. BSU senior
Allie Duellman put the Beavers in front with her third goal of the year at the 4:14 mark of the first period; but MSU senior
Kari Lundberg (Woodbury, Minn.) evened the score at 14:30 when she bested freshman
Brittni Mowat with an unassisted marker, her fourth of the season.

That score held until the Bemidji State power-play converted in the waning seconds of the second period. Sophomore

Danielle Butters (London, Ontario) at the 19:58 mark extending BSU a 2-1 lead.

Kaitlyn Tougas found twine at 6:55, before
Hanna Moher netted her team-leading sixth goal of the year at the 16:42 mark completing the 4-1 final.

MSU ended the day zero-for-five on the power-play and was outshot 41-21 by BSU who ended one-of-three on the advantage. Butters registered a game-high 37 saves, while Mowat turned away 20 shots for the Beavers.

The Mavericks look to garner a series split tomorrow when the two teams return to action at Sanford Center. Opening face-off is slated for 2:07 p.m. in Bemidji, Minn.
