MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's golf team opens its 2026-27 season this Tuesday at the Central Region Fall Preview.

Central Region Fall Preview: The two-round Central Region Fall Preview will be held at the Adams Point Golf Club in Blue Springs, Mo. from Sept. 8-9. Adams Point Golf Club is par-72 course that opened in 1998 and is 6,938 yards long. Last season, the Mavericks played at the Adams Point Golf Club twice, including a second-place finish at the NSIC Championships. Oklahoma Baptist will serve as the host.

The Field: A total of 16 teams will compete at the Central Region Fall Preview, including Minnesota State, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Arkansas at Monticello, Newman, Sioux Falls, Winona State, Pittsburg State, Southwest Minnesota State, Missouri Western, Southern Arkansas, Nebraska-Kearney, Oklahoma Baptist, Southern Nazarene, Northwest Missouri, Missouri Southern and Augustana.

NSIC Preseason Poll: The Minnesota State women's golf team was picked to finish second in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll as it received 157 points and three first-place votes. Wayne State topped the poll with 178 points and 11 first-place votes. Last season, the Mavericks finished second at the NSIC Championships.

The Mavericks: The 2026-27 Maverick women's golf team consists of eight student-athletes, including four letterwinners returning from last season's team including junior Aly Blomberg, senior Lauren Brown, junior Emerson Garlie and senior Lauryn Keller.

Aly Blomberg played in eight rounds (79.8) during the 2025-26 season. She finished in eighth place at the Ever Spring Inn and Suites Mustang Invite (+10). Blomberg also finished 15th at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl (+15).

Lauren Brown competed in 13 rounds (80.8) for the Mavericks. She finished in 13th place at the NSIC Conference Preview (+10).

Last season, Emerson Garlie played in all 12 events and all 27 rounds (77.4) for the Mavericks as she notched six top-20 finishes, including five finishes in the top-five. Garlie finished first at both the Jewell Invitational (-1) and the Ever Spring Inn and Suites Mustang Invite (+2), before earning NSIC All-Tournament Team honors with a fifth place finish at the NSIC Championships (+16). Garlie would garnered All-NSIC First Team honors as she helped the Mavericks advance to the NCAA Championships (+24).

During the 2025-26 season, Lauryn Keller competed in 18 of MSU's 27 rounds (79.7) as she recorded four top-20 finishes. Keller finished in ninth place at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl (+9) and posted a pair of 11th place finishes at the USF Invitational (+17) and the SMSU Classic (+12).

New Faces: Along with the four returning golfers, the Mavericks will welcome in four newcomers, including one transfer and three freshmen. Junior Kelby Anderson is a transfer from Winona State, who played two seasons with the Warriors and recorded seven top-20 finishes during her time at WSU. Freshmen Maddy Fee, Brooklyn Lee and Tayla Perry will also join the Mavericks this fall.
