Box Score DAVENPORT, Fla. --- The Minnesota State baseball team fell to the Seton Hill Griffins 10-0 in seven innings Friday morning.
With the loss, MSU drops to 10-4 on the season. With the win, Seton Hill improves to 9-3.
Junior
Daniel Zang (1-1) took the loss as he allowed six runs, two earned, in 4.0 innings while striking out four. Sean Williams (3-0) earned the win in relief as he allowed just one hit in three innings, while striking out three.
Through the first four innings, the Griffins were able to build a 6-0 lead. Two of the big hits came from Jack Whalen, who notched a two-run home run to left field in the first, and Brady Stone who drove in three more runs with a triple to right center field in the fourth.
Seton Hill added three more runs in the next two innings to increase its lead to 9-0 heading into the seventh. Gage Wheaton led off the bottom of the seventh with a double, before scoring on an RBI-double from Nate Dorinsky, to end the game with a 10-0 win in seven innings.
