MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State wrestling travels to No. 13 St. Cloud State on Friday, February 6 at 7 p.m. CT. The Mavericks, winners of seven straight duals, will try to avenge a 24-14 loss on January 9 to the Huskies, who have won each of their last six.

Fans can watch the dual on nsicnetwork.com and the meet will take place at Halenbeck Hall. The Mavericks lead the all-time series with St. Cloud State 41-28-5, but the Huskies have won the last 17 matchups, dating back to 2009.

FOR THE MAVERICKS
Minnesota State is receiving national votes but remains just outside of the NWCA top-20 NCAA Division II rankings. The Mavericks have three individuals inside the top-15, including No. 13
Walker Bents (Glenwood, Minn.) at 149 pounds, No. 8
Caleb Meunier (Winneconne, Wis.) at 157 pounds and No. 13
Drake Hayward (Neenah, Wis.) at 174 pounds.

Bents is 21-5 overall, including 13-4 in duals with one fall, one tech fall and two major decisions. Meunier is 25-4 overall, including 14-3 in duals with a team-high 14 wins by fall. Hayward is 24-6, including 13-4 in duals with eight wins by fall and three by tech fall.

LAST TIME OUT
The Mavericks picked up their fourth win at the Taylor Center last Saturday, defeating Northern State 21-16 in an NSIC dual. The win improved the team's record to 14-3, including 7-1 in the NSIC. NSU dropped to 6-4, including 3-4 in the NSIC. In total, MSU won six of 10 matches. Senior
Kole Marko (165 lbs.) scored the only pin of the dual when he defeated Izaak Hunsley at 1:31.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
The last two wins for the Huskies came against nationally ranked opponents. They included a 21-14 home victory over No. 11 Augustana on Jan. 31 and a 25-13 home win over No. 12 UMary on Jan. 22. The Huskies also shutout Southwest Minnesota State 46-0 on Jan. 17.

The Huskies (14-2, 7-0 NSIC) stayed unbeaten in conference play and earned head coach Steve Constanzo his 300
th career win against the Vikings. SCSU's Joel Jesuroga, currently ranked No. 2 at 157 pounds, defeated the reigning national champion (149) Cael Larson with a 4-2 decision. Jesuroga is still unbeaten this season with 14 wins. No. 2 Cole Glazier secured the dual victory for the Huskies with a 1-0 win over Charlie Petit at 184 pounds. Glazier is 13-0 this season.

Last season, the Huskies finished 14-0 overall, including 9-0 in NSIC duals. At the NCAA Division II Championships, SCSU placed third with 57.5 points. St. Cloud State losses this year have come against No. 1 Nebraska-Kearney (L, 25-7) and No. 6 Lander (L, 22-9).
