5/21/2026 10:18:00 AM

MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State head coach Brady Wilson has announced that he plans to welcome 21 student-athletes to the roster along with a new adjunct coach that will step into an existing role for the Maverick wrestling program in the upcoming season.

All signings are contingent upon admission to Minnesota State and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

Zach Glazier will join the Maverick wrestling staff as an adjunct coach. Glazier, a native of Albert Lea, Minn., started last season as an assistant coach at St. Cloud State before exhausting his eligibility in the second semester where he went 11-1 at 285-pounds, finishing third at the NCAA Championships.

"I look forward to joining the MavFam and reuniting with Coach Wilson," said Glazier. "Brady and I are like-minded, and we are ready to win National Championships with the full support of MSU athletics behind us."

Prior to attending St. Cloud State, Glazier wrestled at South Dakota State where he went 17-8, finishing third at the Big XII Championships and qualifying for the NCAA Tournament. He began his career at Iowa where he went 35-8 in three seasons. In 2023-24 he qualified for the NCAA tournament and finished second at the B1G Championships at 197-pounds.

A three-time U20 Freestyle All American, Glazier was also a two-time state champion for Albert Lea.

"We're excited to welcome Zach to our staff," said Wilson. "He brings a high level of wrestling knowledge, toughness, and passion for the sport. Just as important, he's someone who connects well with student-athletes and will play a big role in continuing to build our culture and success here at Minnesota State."

Glazier joins Wilson, who is in his first year on staff and Trayton Anderson, who just completed his second season as an assistant coach for the Mavericks.

Minnesota State Recruiting Class

"We are extremely excited about this recruiting class and the future of Maverick wrestling," said head coach Brady Wilson. "This group brings a tremendous combination of talent, work ethic, character, and competitiveness. We wanted student-athletes who not only fit our culture on the mat, but who also represent the values of Minnesota State in the classroom and in the community. We believe this class has the potential to make an immediate impact on our program and continue the tradition of success that Maverick wrestling is known for."

"I also want to thank athletic director Kevin Buisman and the entire Minnesota State administration for their continued support of our wrestling program," Wilson added. "Their commitment to providing resources and opportunities for our student-athletes has been instrumental in helping us build for the future."

"I also need to commend assistant coach Trayton Anderson for the tremendous amount of work he put into this recruiting class," said Wilson. "Trayton played a major role throughout the entire recruiting process, building relationships with athletes and families and helping identify individuals who are the right fit for our program. His energy and dedication have been invaluable."
