BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Minnesota State junior defender Mila Rustin has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Defensive Player of the Week following her standout performances over the weekend.

Rustin, contributed on both ends of the pitch as the Mavericks recorded back-to-back shutouts. She played a total of 64 minutes across the two matches, helping anchor a defensive unit that allowed just four shots on goal throughout the weekend.

Rustin made a significant offensive impact by scoring two goals in Minnesota State's 4-0 victory over Northern State. She also tallied two shots on goal in that match and added another shot on frame in the Mavericks' 2-0 win against Jamestown.

The Mavericks are back on the road this weekend, they face Southwest Minnesota State on Friday and Univeristy of Sioux Falls on Sunday.
