MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State soccer has signed nine recruits for the 2022 season, as announced by head coach
Brian Bahl.
All signings are contingent upon admission to MSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Clearinghouse.
This year's signing class features nine student-athletes with three heading north from Iowa, South Dakota, and Michigan while six others hailing from the ranks of Minnesota. The Mavericks' nine signees are:

Lauren McAlpine,
Isabelle Schott,
Mila Rustin,
Sydney Johnson,
Ella Huettl,
Anna Stromberg,
Julia Fischer, and
Maddix Archer.
The incoming freshmen will join a Minnesota State team that finished 14-2-6 (11-0-4 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) this past fall where they made it to the NCAA Regionals before falling with a 4-2 loss to division rival #24 Bemidji State.
Minnesota State made their 11th straight and 16th overall NCAA Tournament appearance following their first NSIC regular Season Champion title in five years. Minnesota State was also ranked in each of the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll releases this season with its highest ranking coming in at No. 12 on Nov. 1, 2022.
Minnesota State had one of the best offenses in the NSIC in 2022 — the Mavericks led the conference with 55 goals and 43 assists for a total of 153 points, which also led the league. As a team, MSU led the NSIC in goals per game (2.50) while coming in at third in shutouts (12), fourth in goals-against average (.640) and fifth in save percentage (.851).
