Anna Van Wyngarden earned D2CCA All-America honors for their performances this season. McAlpine was named to the First Team, while Van Wyngarden earned Second Team recognition. They become the 17th and 18th Mavericks in program history to receive D2CCA All-America honors.
A native of Shoreview, Minnesota, McAlpine started all 23 matches in goal this season, helping lead the Mavericks to an 18-1-4 overall record and a berth in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. She posted a .910 save percentage and a 0.35 goals-against average, while recording 16 shutouts on the year. McAlpine also earned All-NSIC and D2CCA All-Central Region honors.
Van Wyngarden, a defender from West Des Moines, Iowa, also started all 23 matches this season and was a key part of a Minnesota State defense that recorded 16 shutouts. She finished the year with two goals and three assists while helping guide the Mavericks to an 18-1-4 record and an NCAA Tournament appearance. In addition to her All-America honor, Van Wyngarden was named All-NSIC, CSC Academic All-District, and D2CCA All-Central Region.
