ASIAGO, Italy – Former Minnesota State defenseman
Steven Bellini (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.) signed a one-year contract to play hockey for Asiago in the Alps Hockey League this week. The team competes in Asiago, Italy.

As a senior in 2024-25, Bellini helped the Mavericks reach the NCAA Tournament with one goal and five assists for six points in 33 games. Over 111 career games, Bellini posted five goals and 26 points.

Before making the trek to Minnesota State, Bellini played his junior hockey in the NOJHL (Soo Thunderbirds), BCHL (Coquitlam Express) and the USHL (Tri-City Storm). Bellini played his minor hockey for the Soo Greyhounds, Soo Thunder and Soo Thunderbirds growing up.Â
