MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State Director of Athletics Kevin Buisman has announced several updates and enhancements related to Maverick Hockey ticketing, Blue Line Club membership benefits, and fan engagement opportunities for the 2026-27 season.
Beginning next season, basic season ticket prices will increase to $450 per seat, while Varsity and Maverick level Blue Line Club packages will move to $1,450 and $2,900 respectively. These adjustments represent the first increase in three years and continue to position Maverick Hockey among the most affordable programs within the league and among national peers.
In addition, sales tax on all Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center box office events will now be passed directly to the purchaser at the request of event promoters, rather than being included in the advertised ticket price. Minnesota State Athletics will also implement a $2 per ticket Competitive Excellence Fund surcharge on all single-game tickets. Revenue generated through these changes will help offset rising operational costs and support continued investment in resources necessary to compete at the national level.
The department also announced premium pricing for two marquee home series during the 2026-27 season:
- Wisconsin (October 9-10)
- Minnesota (Saturday, November 28)
Tickets for both series will be priced at $40 per seat, with no discounted youth or student ticket pricing available due to anticipated demand.
Season ticket self-service online renewals and sales are available now at msumavericks.com/seasontickets. In-person ticket sales in the Maverick Athletic Office will begin Monday, July 6. Single-game tickets will go on sale Tuesday, September 8.
Minnesota State Athletics is also pursuing additional revenue-generating initiatives designed to directly support student-athlete retention and recruiting efforts through Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. Planned initiatives include:
- New uniform logo patch sponsorship opportunities.
- Game night rental opportunities within the Maverick Hockey Reception Center.
More information about both initiatives will be released in the coming weeks.
In response to feedback from fans and Blue Line Club members, several enhanced engagement opportunities are also planned for the 2026-27 season, including:
- Additional exclusive events.
- Expanded behind-the-scenes access.
- Priority benefits and enhanced member experiences.
- Increased interaction opportunities with coaches and student-athletes.
- “Puck Drop in City Center”, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, September 29.
The department also plans to introduce a limited pilot program for digital season tickets during the 2026-27 season ahead of a full transition anticipated for 2027-28. The move is expected to improve convenience, ticket transferability, and overall fan experience.
