Mavericks Announce 2026-27 Hockey Schedule

MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State men's hockey team has released its 2026-27 men's hockey schedule featuring 16 home games.

The Mavericks open the season hosting Wisconsin, the 2026 NCAA National Runner-Up, Oct. 9-10.  After a trip to Merrimack – who made the NCAA tournament last season – Oct., 16-17, the Mavericks play St. Thomas in home and home with St. Thomas (Oct. 23-24), with the Tommies coming to the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center Saturday, Oct. 24.

The CCHA schedule opens with Minnesota State hosting Lake Superior State (Oct. 30-31). The Mavericks then travel to Northern Michigan (Nov. 6-7), before travelling to Bemidji State (Nov. 13-14).

The Mavericks return home as they host Michigan Tech (Nov. 20-21) before wrapping up the non-conference portion of its schedule with a series against Minnesota (Nov. 27-28).  MSU travels to 3M Arena at Mariucci Nov. 27 before hosting the Golden Gophers on Nov. 28.  

The first semester winds down with a home series against Bowling Green (Dec. 4-5) and a trip to Lake Superior State (Dec. 11-12).

Minnesota State opens the 2027 calendar year with a trip to Ferris State (Jan. 8-9), before hosting Augustana (Jan. 15-16).  January concludes with a trip to Bowling Green (Jan. 22-23) before hosting Bemidji State (Jan. 29-30).

The final month of the regular season starts with Minnesota State travelling to Michigan Tech (Feb. 5-6). After a weekend off on Feb. 12-13, Minnesota State hosts Northern Michigan (Feb. 19-20) before closing the regular season at Augustana (Feb. 26-27).

The CCHA Playoffs open March 5-7, with the semifinals taking place March 13 and the championship set for March 19.  The NCAA Tournament opens March 25.

Minnesota State finished the 2026-27 season with a 22-11-7 record, including a 14-7-5 mark in the CCHA, claiming the MacNaughton Cup as the regular season champions and the Mason Cup as the postseason champions.
