GREENSBORO, N.C. – The 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-Region teams were announced on Wednesday (May 28) and five Minnesota State baseball players were listed. First Team selections included infielder
Ike Mezzenga, utility player
Louis Magers and starting pitcher
Nathan Culley. Second Team selections included shortstop
Aidan Byrne and outfield
Zach Stroh.

The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by theÂ
ABCA NCAA Div. II All-America & Coach of the Year Committee. The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-America teams will be announced on Friday, May 30. Only First Team All-Region selections are eligible for All-America honors.
The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced on Wednesday, June 18. The ABCA NCAA Div. II Region All-Defensive teams will be announced on Thursday, June 19.

Mezzenga (Shoreview, Minnesota) transferred to Minnesota State this season and broke the MSU single season record with 21 home runs, including three in the NCAA Central Region Tournament. Mezzenga hit .373 and slugged .732. He also led the squad with 85 runs batted in and posted 19 doubles.

Magers (Mankato, Minnesota) also earned D2CCA All-Central Region Second Team in 2024 for the Mavericks. He finished the season with 20 home runs (passed Jordan Hart, 19, for first on MSU all-time single season chart). Magers batted .319 with 68 hits, 14 doubles, one triple and 82 runs batted in. On the mound, he made 10 starts and held a 2.72 earned run average with 35 strikeouts and 23 walks over 43.0 innings.

Culley (Andover, Minnesota) went 12-1 with a 2.52 earned run average as a starting pitcher. He also recorded four complete games and two shutouts. He led the team with 98 strikeouts and walked 27. He worked 7.0 innings in the NCAA Central Region Tournament against Arkansas Monticello on May 15 and allowed three earned runs while striking out eight. Culley earned ABCA All-Central Region Second Team in 2022 and 2023.

Byrne (Eagan, Minnesota) set Minnesota State program records for career walks, singles, hits and runs batted in this spring. At the plate, Byrne hit .349 with a team-high 22 doubles, three triples and five home runs for 55 runs batted in. He also stole a team-best 18 bases. He will leave MSU with a .361 career batting average, 18 home runs and 188 runs batted in.

Stroh (Elk River, Minnesota) leads the Mavericks with a .399 batting average in 58 starts. He had 83 hits, including 13 doubles, seven home runs and 46 runs batted in.
