Track & Field Concludes Maverick Invite and Pacific Coast Intercollegiate

MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State men's and women's outdoor track and field continued competition at several meets across the country this week, including the conclusion of the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Thursday and Maverick Invitational Friday.
 
Competition continues into Saturday for the Mavericks at the Mt. SAC Relays (Walnut, California, Hilmer Lodge Stadium), the Bryan Clay Invitational (Azusa, California, Cougar Athletic Stadium) and Long Beach Invite (Long Beach, California, Jack Rose Track).
 
PACIFIC COAST INTERCOLLEGIATE – WOMEN
 
Adeyah Brewster posted a second place time of 13.11 (w:2.2) in 100 meter hurdles (first in Division II, personal record) and Grace Johnson was fourth in 13.39 (w:1.0)(fourth in Division II) at Jack Rose Track in Long Beach, California.
 
Brewster's 100 meter dash was also second quickest (11.59, W:2.0)(fifth in Division II). Brewster also competed for seventh place in the long jump with a distance of 5.88m (31st in Division II).
 
Miranda Lauvstad finished sixth in 400 meter hurdles with her time of 59.55 (fourth in Division II). Robynn Rolle-Curry headlined 200 meter dash and took 19th position in 24.41.
 
Lily Beneke led the Mavericks in hammer throw in eighth place (58.54m, 192-1)(second in Division II). In triple jump, Ghada Hamdani placed eighth after landing 11.99m.
 
Noemie Thibaud posted a 5th place mark of 1.72m in high jump (10th in Division II).
 
PACIFIC COAST INTERCOLLEGIATE - MEN
 
The Maverick team of D'Eric Smith, Kemarri Stewart, Ezekiel Clark and Richlu Tudee won the men's 4x100 meter relay with a time of 40.16 (first in Division II). Tudee also finished fifth in both the 100 meter dash (10.40) and 200 meter dash (21.07).
 
Jalen McGee crossed the line 11th in 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.15 (19th in Division II). Qai Hussey took seventh in 400 meter dash with a time of 48.40.  
 
Liam Byrne landed 58.08 meters in hammer throw for 13th place (22nd in Division II).
 
MAVERICK INVITATIONAL – WOMEN
 
Elizabeth Schmidt placed fourth in 400 meters for the Mavericks with a time of 58.85 at the Mark Schuck Outdoor Track & Field Complex on Minnesota State campus. Norah D'almeida took second place in 100 meter finals with a season best time 11.84 (45th in Division II). D'Almeida topped the podium in 200 meters with a time of 24.17 (34th in Division II).
 
Precious Olatunji also came in second in 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.73. Makayla Bishop competed for fourth position in 800 meters with a time of 2:21.97. Madison Matzek led the field in 5000 meters with a time of 17:32.59.
 
Ashley Cridlebaugh marked a season best in high jump at 1.67m (5-5.75), good for second place (32nd in Division II). Olivia Solis was listed third in the same event with a personal record 1.67m (5-5.75).
 
Elvira Collvin led four Mavericks inside the top five in pole vault, with her height at 3.67m (12-00.50). Makayla Miles (third), Hope Stangel (T-fourth) and Willow Oehmichen (T-fourth) also set season bests.
 
Molly Kahl helped the Mavericks to second place in long jump after landing at 5.66m (18-7.00)(57th in Division II). Lauren Bird took fourth in hammer throw (48.05m, 157-07).

MAVERICK INVITATIONAL – MEN
 
Ray Ure and Adam Bohm finished third and fifth respectively in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Bohm's time of 9:34.57 was 83rd in Division II this season. Kyler Bade crossed the finish line fifth in 400 meters (49.60) and Owen Petersohn was second in 100 meter hurdle finals with his time of 14.59. Petersohn was also second in 400 meter hurdles (54.32, season best, 74th in Division II).
 
Oluwadamilola Babalola turned in a fifth place time in 200 meter dash (21.92) for the Mavericks. Luke Scholtes also won the 5000 meter event with a time of 15:38.45.
 
In the field, Ben Wieser was second in shot put with a throw of 16.51m (54-2.00). Jacob Ziebarth captured the high jump title with a mark in the sand of 2.03m (6-8.00)(season best, 34th in Division II). Aiden Buendorf was second.
 
Collin Windorski won the pole vault at 4.96m (16-3.25)(personal record, 19th in Division II). Long jump went to Logan Moeller for the Mavericks (6.82m, 22-4.50) and hammer throw was led by Joshua Beiswanger (57.98m, 190-2). His mark was 24th in Division II and a personal best.
