SIOUX FALLS, S.D. --- #13 Minnesota State fell to #11 Augustana Saturday afternoon in Sioux Falls as the Vikings bested the Mavericks 23-14.

MSU now owns a 1-1 dual record, including a 1-1 NSIC record. With the win, AU improves to 2-2 in dual action, including a 2-0 NSIC record.

Sophomore Jacob Fitzpatrick (125 lbs.) picked up his second win of the weekend as he claimed a 10-8 decision over AU's Christian Olsen. He has now win 15 matches, on the season, including nine via decision.

In the 133 lbs. match, junior Chase Beckett notched his fourth major decision victory of the season as he topped AU's Brandon Board 11-3.

Senior Caleb Meunier notched a major decision of his own in the 157 lbs. match as he defeated Augustana's Kyle Boeke 14-3. Meunier now has 13 wins on the season, including two via major decision.

Sophomore Paolo Salminen picked MSU's last won of the dual as he earned a 2-1 decision against AU's Payton Handevidt.

Minnesota State returns home on Friday as it hosts UW-Parkside. The dual is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Taylor Center.
