DEEPHAVEN, Minn. – For the second straight week and third time this season, Minnesota State senior goaltender
Alex Tracy (Chicago, Ill.) was named CCHA Goaltender of the Week by the conference office on Monday (Nov. 24).
Tracy helped the Mavericks to a home sweep over Michigan Tech over the weekend. He stopped all 12 shots on Friday for his ninth career shutout, then made 27 saves for the Mavericks on Saturday and did not allow an even strength goal in a 3-2 victory. Tracy totaled 39 saves for a .951 save percentage against the Huskies.
He leads the CCHA in goals against average (1.88) and ranks third in save percentage (.930). Nationally, Tracy ranks third in NCAA Division I total saves (358), 13
th in goals against average and 15
th in save percentage.
A 2024-25 Mike Richter Award finalist, Tracy has been named CCHA Goaltender of the Week 11 times in his Maverick career.
Minnesota State men's hockey (8-2-4, 5-1-2 CCHA) heads to Marquette for a conference series at Northern Michigan. Game times are 6:07 p.m. CT on Friday, Nov. 28 and 5:07 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 29.
